Terms of Service

Welcome to PocketIntel. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PocketIntel mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by WeaveHub ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using PocketIntel, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

PocketIntel is a cybersecurity threat intelligence aggregation platform that:

  • Collects and aggregates cybersecurity intelligence from over 70 publicly available sources including RSS feeds, public APIs, and Mastodon feeds
  • Uses artificial intelligence (AI) to summarize articles, extract structured data (CVE identifiers, indicators of compromise, severity ratings), and classify threats
  • Delivers personalized intelligence feeds based on your selected preferences (sectors, vendors, technologies, threat types)
  • Provides push notifications for relevant threat intelligence updates

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use PocketIntel. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use PocketIntel, you must create an account using one of the following methods:

  • Apple Sign-In
  • Google Sign-In
  • Email registration

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information current.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to:

  • Not share your account credentials with others
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

PocketIntel offers a 7-day free trial for new users. The free trial provides full access to all features. You will not be charged during the trial period.

4.2 Subscription

After the free trial, continued access to PocketIntel requires an active subscription:

  • Monthly subscription: $2.99 per month

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to the payment terms of the applicable app store:

We do not collect, store, or process any payment card or financial information.

4.4 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription through:

  • iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions

4.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service except through our published API
  • Redistribute, resell, or republish intelligence content from PocketIntel for commercial purposes without our written consent
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 PocketIntel

The PocketIntel application, including its design, code, branding, logos, and AI-generated summaries, is the property of WeaveHub and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written consent.

6.2 Intelligence Content

PocketIntel aggregates content from publicly available third-party sources. The original content remains the property of its respective authors and publishers. AI-generated summaries and extracted data are derivative works created by WeaveHub.

You may share individual intel items through the app's built-in sharing features for personal, non-commercial purposes. Bulk redistribution or commercial use of aggregated content is prohibited.

6.3 DMCA

WeaveHub respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content available through PocketIntel infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent:

Your notice must include:

    • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
    • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location in the Service
    • Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email)
    • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized
    • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
    • Your physical or electronic signature

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

PocketIntel uses artificial intelligence to process and summarize cybersecurity intelligence from public sources. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI summaries may contain inaccuracies. Always verify critical information against the original source articles linked within each intel item.
  • AI does not fabricate data. The AI extracts and summarizes only what is present in source material. However, AI processing may occasionally misinterpret, omit, or incorrectly categorize information.
  • PocketIntel is not a substitute for professional cybersecurity analysis. The Service is an informational tool and should not be the sole basis for security decisions.
  • No guarantee of completeness. We do not guarantee that PocketIntel captures all relevant threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Timeliness. While we strive to deliver intelligence promptly, there may be delays between when a threat is publicly disclosed and when it appears in PocketIntel.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEAVEHUB DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS
  • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED SUMMARIES
  • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE TIMELINESS OF THREAT INTELLIGENCE DATA

YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. CYBERSECURITY DECISIONS SHOULD NOT BE BASED SOLELY ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY POCKETINTEL.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WEAVEHUB AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA
  • ANY DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO WEAVEHUB IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WeaveHub and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you submit or share through the Service

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To fully terminate your relationship with PocketIntel:

    • Cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
    • Delete your account through Settings > Account > Delete Account

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Discontinuation of the Service

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14 survive termination

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms in the app and on our website
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
  • Displaying a notice within the app for significant changes

Your continued use of PocketIntel after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If informal resolution is unsuccessful within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

13.3 Class Action Waiver

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND WEAVEHUB AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS PART OF A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

13.4 Small Claims Court

Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits.

14. General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WeaveHub regarding the Service.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

14.5 Force Majeure

WeaveHub shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, or internet disruptions.

14.6 Notices

Notices to you may be provided through the app, via email, or through the app stores. Notices to us should be sent to legal@weavehub.app.
